China has formally established a 220-member delegation for the 48th WorldSkills Competition to be held in Shanghai from September 22 to 27, with the approval of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.
The delegation includes 71 competitors, 64 experts, and 64 interpreters and staff members. The competitors will take part in all 64 skill competitions at the event, the Science and Technology Daily reported.
The 71 competitors come from 21 provincial-level regions across China, including 49 students and 22 employees. Their average age is 21, with the youngest aged 18 and the oldest 25.
The WorldSkills Competition is the world's biggest international skills competition, bringing together young people, industry, education and government leaders from around the world to advance Technical and Vocational Education and Training, according to the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 website.
About 1,400 competitors from nearly 70 countries and regions are expected to compete across 64 official skill competitions.
WorldSkills Conference 2026 and the WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 Expo will be held alongside the Competition, according to the event's official website.
Since joining WorldSkills International in October 2010, China has participated in seven editions of the WorldSkills Competition, winning 93 gold medals, 41 silver medals, 28 bronze medals and 71 Medallions for Excellence, according to Science and Technology Daily.
China has ranked first in both the gold medal table and overall team points for four consecutive editions. The Shanghai event will mark the country's eighth participation and the third time it has entered every skill competition.
"The delegation will strictly observe competition rules, compete fairly and with civility, demonstrate both sportsmanship and skill, and fully showcase the superb expertise and positive image of China's young skilled professionals in the new era," an official with the Chinese delegation was quoted as saying by Science and Technology Daily.
China's award ceremony uniforms and competition uniforms have also been unveiled. Both sets draw their central design elements from traditional Chinese mortise-and-tenon joinery, highlighting the inheritance of craftsmanship and the cultural confidence of China's young skilled professionals, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

B |     The trailer of Mohanlal’s upcoming film Vrusshabha has finally been unveiled, offering audiences their first substantial look at one of the actor’s most ambitious projects in recent years. Directed by Nanda Kishore, the film promises a sweeping cinematic experience that blends action, mythology, and intense emotional drama, positioning itself as a major festive release later this year.Unveiled amid considerable anticipation, the trailer sets the tone for a story that spans timelines and identities. Mohanlal appears in a commanding central role, portraying a man haunted by visions that seem to belong to another life. As the visuals unfold, it becomes clear that Vrusshabha is rooted in the idea of legacy, where the past refuses to remain buried and continues to shape the present in unsettling ways.Lavish visuals, carefully staged action sequences, and an undercurrent of emotional conflict dominate the trailer, signalling a film that aims to balance scale with substance.A story that moves between past and presentThe trailer opens in the present day, with Mohanlal’s character introduced as a powerful and composed individual whose calm exterior conceals inner turmoil. Disturbing visions of war, betrayal, and bloodshed begin to intrude into his life, gradually revealing connections to a previous incarnation. These glimpses lead to the revelation of a warrior king named Vijayendra Vrusshabha, a figure defined by strength, pride, and unfinished battles. What stands out is the film’s emotional anchor. At its core, Vrusshabha appears to be as much about family as it is about destiny. The trailer places significant emphasis on the father-son bond, presenting moments of protection, loyalty, and sacrifice. These scenes lend emotional weight to the spectacle, suggesting that the film’s conflicts are deeply personal rather than purely mythic.                                         The visual language alternates between grandeur and intimacy, moving from large-scale battle imagery to quieter confrontations that explore identity and duty. The approach hints at a narrative that is driven by character as much as by action.A festive release with ambitious scopeVrusshabha has been mounted as a multi-language project aimed at reaching audiences beyond Mohanlal’s traditional home market. Shot simultaneously in Malayalam and Telugu, with versions planned in other Indian languages, the film marks another step in the actor’s expanding pan-Indian presence. The supporting cast includes Ragini Dwivedi, Samarjit Lankesh, and Nayan Sarika in prominent roles, each adding layers to the expansive world hinted at in the trailer. The technical finesse on display, from production design to visual effects, reflects a clear intent to deliver a theatrical spectacle designed for the big screen.                                                                 View this post on Instagram          A post shared by Mohanlal (@mohanlal)               Scheduled for a Christmas release, Vrusshabha enters a competitive festive window, but the confidence of the makers is evident in the scale of the project and the timing of the trailer launch. Industry observers believe the film could appeal to both mass audiences drawn to action and viewers interested in emotionally driven storytelling. As the trailer circulates widely, Vrusshabha has already sparked discussion for its themes of reincarnation, vengeance, and inheritance. With Mohanlal at the centre, the film positions itself as a story about power that transcends time and the cost of unfinished battles carried across generations.          Also Read: Mohanlal’s Vrusshabha Teaser Unveiled, Diwali Release Locked。
